Fall Forest Creek
Not everything needs to be an epic 20K summit chase, on a steady zone 2 grind with full load-out, and all the photo and video gear in tow.
I timed this little 20-min. micro-hike with a break in the rain. I combined it with a Wednesday errand I needed to run, that happened to be close to this trail.
Gotta be strategic these days with California fuel prices.
So why not? Gotta eat and move at some point, right?
Getting out of the box can be a great midweek reset.
A quick lunchtime walk in the woods, along the creek, with some snacks.
That's all it took.

If you've been following along, you probably know creeks are my kind of jam.
I can't pass one up without pausing for a watch and listen.
The contrast and lighting after the rain had a particularly compelling vibe.

As we get more rain, this will start looking more and more like a magical enchanted forest... Super lush and vibrant.
Phone pics don't do it justice. We've only had a little rain so far, and the moss and trees have barely had a sip.

A video of the same creek from November of 2025...
When was the last time you went outside for lunch?
